Models

At GEEDS we develop numerical simulation models based on system dynamics in order to perform socio-environmental sustainability analysis and help in decision making. To do this, it is necessary to develop models adapted to the specific problem whose solution is sought and reach the required level of detail.

Our main activity focuses on the development and application of Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs), which cover broad geographic scales (world, US, countries) and whose objective is to help understand the relationships between a large number of technological, economic, environmental and social variables that characterize the development of our society, and that allow us to simulate future scenarios with different alternatives for action to guide decision making.

We are also currently developing models at local and regional scales.

Documentation for each model can be found in each of the following links. In case your license allows it, you can also download and simulate the model with the help of a user guide and the required software.
