Fernando Frechoso

He graduated in Physics in 1990 and obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering in 1996, both from the University of Valladolid. Since 1990 he has been a University Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the School of Industrial Engineering in Valladolid. Since 2004 he has been Director of the Energy Division at the CARTIF Foundation technology centre and since 2007 he has been Director of the Renewable Energy Chair at the same university. He is also a member of the Energy and Systems Dynamics research group at the University of Valladolid.

His main fields of research are related to electricity generation from renewable energy and energy efficiency. He has participated as principal investigator or coordinator in several research and technology transfer projects in national and European calls, and in contracts with private companies. He is co-author of several articles in international journals.
