Graduated in economics from the Universidad Estadual Paulista (UNESP), where he specialised in the Brazilian tax system and its impact on income distribution and inequality. He then completed a Master’s degree in International Development Cooperation at the University of Valladolid, where he furthered his studies in development cooperation and environment. Currently, Pedro is a pre-doctoral researcher in Economics at the University of Valladolid, focusing on the modelling of system dynamics, particularly in its economic and social aspects. He is currently working on the ONEPlanET project, funded by Horizon 2020.
