Santiago Cáceres Gómez

He completed his doctoral studies leading to the title of Doctor in Industrial Engineering and his bachelor’s degree leading to the title of Bachelor of Physical Sciences specializing in Electronics from the University of Valladolid. He is currently a University Professor in the Department of Electronic Technology at the School of Industrial Engineers at the University of Valladolid. He has been a Visiting Professor at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, within the framework of the Engineering and Society Program of the Faculty of Engineering, where he developed the project entitled “Engineering, Society and Public Policies: Educational Innovation and Social Impact Assessment” His main lines of research are included in two large areas. The first in the field of engineering where he works on aspects of Preventive Engineering considering the inclusion of social and environmental aspects both from teaching and from research and development. The second within the area of ​​​​Science, Technology and Society where he works on aspects of social impact of technology, scientific culture and public participation in science and technology.
